All my baskets are made of willow grown on the Somerset Levels and mainly supplied by Musgroves and Son, willow growers.

My baskets can be made in a wide variation of attractive colour schemes. There are two types of peeled willow:- white, which has had the barked stripped off in the spring and buff, which is boiled and stripped - the tannins in the bark giving a lovely terracotta colour.

The coloured willows vary hugely according to which variety of willow is used, producing barks with a wide variety of beautifully subtle shades and colours. Baskets can be made in one plain colour or in any combination of colours, subject, of course,to willow availability.
